Tim Victorella lives in upstate New York near the Finger Lakes. He has been working in the mental health field for many years, specifically in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and professional education. Tim holds a master’s degree in social work and is currently three trimesters from graduation from Logan’s Doctorate of Health Professions Education (DHPE) program. Tim’s career extends back to his early years in emergency medicine in the community. He has been in the mental health field working clinically in emergency departments, community crisis teams, state psychiatric hospitals, and crisis stabilization units. A Business Journal analysis of more than 1,500 primarily campus-based, four-year colleges and universities with at least 1,000 students found that while average total enrollment fell 5% between fall 2016 and 2020, roughly one-third of the schools reported enrollment growth during that period—including Logan University. In honor of the late Kenneth Evan Leistner, DC (’80), world-renowned chiropractor and strength and fitness coach—“Dr. Ken” to those who knew him—Logan University has established the Dr. Ken Leistner Memorial Scholarship, which will award $1,000 to one strength and conditioning student every trimester.
