Women’s Health Symposium Speaker: Dr. Cindy Howard

At this year’s Women’s Health Symposium, Cindy Howard, DC, DABCI, DACBN will lead a presentation on “Labs, Ladies and Protocols,” where she will address common concerns among female patients. She will discuss how looking at lab tests in the female population can help find solutions for issues like fatigue, thyroid imbalance, anorexia, autoimmune disorders and pelvic disorders. Women’s Health Symposium Speaker: Dr. Kristina Petrocco-Napuli

A strong advocate for women’s health, Kristina Petrocco-Napuli, DC, MS, FICC, FACC will lead a presentation on “Infusing Patient Centered Care with Integration” at the 2020 Women’s Health Symposium. She will discuss the necessity of caring for the female patient through a whole health model of integrative care, while reviewing evidence-based practices and strategies to implement in practice. Additionally, Dr. Petrocco-Napuli will summarize models of integrative care as it relates to female patients throughout their physiological journey. Women’s Health Symposium Speaker: Dr. Catherine Wonders

An experienced yoga teacher, chiropractic acupuncturist and chiropractor, Catherine Wonders, DC will lead a presentation on “Yoga for the Female Patient” at this year’s Women’s Health Symposium. In her presentation, Dr. Wonders will discuss the latest research surrounding the benefits of yoga as it relates to women’s health and how to determine when yoga is an appropriate referral. She will also provide a guide to helping patients discover the type of yoga practice from which they will find the greatest benefit. Cheryl Houston, PhD, RD, LD, FAND, CHES will inform attendees at this year’s Women’s Health Symposium on “Developing a Whole-Hearted Practice for Patient Well-Being.” In this lecture, she will discuss evidence-based findings linking well-being to health and disease. She will explain the role of integrative practices on inflammation, pain and pain management.
