Logan’s Climbing Club Reaches New Heights at So iLL Showdown

Captains and founding members of Logan University’s Climbing Club, trimester 6 doctor of chiropractic students Luke Vanover and Nick Reese, recently participated in one of the biggest climbing competitions in the Midwest. At the Climb So iLL Showdown on October 22, 2022, Luke earned 12th place and Nick earned 13th place out of the 32 people who participated in their division. “It was a very unique competition. U.S. Air Force Veteran Aspires to Aid Fellow Disabled Veterans

Dominque Roberts, former nuclear weapons technician for the United States Air Force, realized their true calling after attending one of many appointments with the Veterans Affairs (VA) office.  Dominique wanted to create custom, electronically aided, active prosthetics for other disabled veterans. “I aim to create the prosthetics to be suited to people’s specific needs and match their lifestyles,” explained Dominique. “This isn’t necessarily a niche the VA is suited, or designed, to meet.” Dominique plans to achieve this goal by attending Logan University to earn their Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree. Logan Alumni Alyssa Troutner, DC (’18), MS (’18) has been recognized in Spineline’s “20 Under 40,” a campaign by the North American Spine Society (NASS) showcasing the brightest young physicians under the age of 40. Recipients are selected by the Spineline committee, looking for the most deserving individuals based on accomplishments, community service and philosophy of care. MS-HI Student Ava Anderson’s Findings on Intimate Partner Violence and Telehealth

Ava Anderson is no stranger to technology, having a bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering, which combines mechanical, computer and electrical systems. To learn how to integrate that knowledge into the health field, she’s pursuing a Master of Health Informatics (MS-HI) degree at Logan University. As far as her professional career following graduation in April 2022, she is keeping her options open but knows she wants to work in data analytics. Logan University Breaks Ground on Fuhr Science Center

Logan University broke ground on the Fuhr Science Center on its campus in Chesterfield, Missouri, yesterday and construction is officially underway. The renovation project represents a major investment in the university’s continuing commitment to quality experiential learning for its chiropractic and health sciences students and to advancing education and transforming lives through evidence-based, patient-centered health care. The building is named after Arlan W. Fuhr, DC (’61) and Mrs. Judi Fuhr, who donated a $1 million lead gift in support of the Advancing Education, Transforming Lives campaign that will fund the renovation and expansion of the Fuhr Science Center as well …
