Logan is one of the best chiropractic colleges in North America. They are making leaders here.

Carter Lindenfield, DC Student 2021

Thank you to everyone who made a donation to Logan University yesterday in celebration of #GiveSTLDay! Your support for Logan’s University-Wide Scholarship Fund provides our students the opportunity to reach their highest potential and enables them, upon graduation, to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in communities around the world.
#GiveSTLDay is HERE. This year, all funds raised through @stlouisgives' Give STL Day will go to Logan’s University-Wide Scholarship Fund. While Logan maintains one of the lowest tuition fees of all chiropractic institutions, the reality is that an increasing number of students are struggling to fund their education. Your scholarship support allows us to make a Logan education accessible to as many gifted students as possible. Click the #linkinbio to support Logan University and show your generosity.

Today was my last shift working as a student doctor under Dr. Banaszynski! 🥼 My first trimester in clinic has been so rewarding and I’m thankful to have worked alongside this guy (thanks for showing me the ropes Dr. B😅). I’m also VERY excited to say that I’ve been accepted to work in both the pediatric clinic and the viscerosomatic center where I will continue my clinical education next trimester! I can’t wait to keep growing, learning, and serving 🙌✨

#GiveSTLDay, hosted by the St. Louis Community Foundation, is a 24-hour, online giving day designed to ignite the spirit of giving across the St. Louis region. Since its inception in 2014, Give STL Day has raised over $17 million for more than 900 regional nonprofits, and Logan University is grateful to be one of them. Please mark your calendars to support us on May 6th!
When Chris Williams, DC ('98) made a career change from finance and business to chiropractic more than 20 years ago, he never would have imagined himself on the sidelines as team chiropractor for the Super Bowl Champions. February 7, 2021, however, will forever live on as one of the most exciting moments of his career in private practice and professional sports. Read the full story at the #linkinbio.
Our latest faculty spotlight features Patrick Battaglia, DC ('12), DACBR, Logan's director of health policy and interdisciplinary care. Get to know him!

What does leadership mean to you? Leadership, to me, is service toward others. In my role, that means ensuring high quality patient care, student learning, staff clinician engagement, and strong relationships with our community partners. I interpret #LeadersMade as an aim to equip students, faculty and staff with the skills needed to thrive in whichever facet of health care they find themselves. This could mean direct patient care, education, management, and so on.

My favorite part about working at Logan is… The Mission, Vision, and Values of Logan resonate well with me, and working to achieve these is motivating and stimulating.

What’s your advice to incoming students? Specific to our chiropractic students, I would say immerse yourself in (and trust) the process. The curriculum is designed to build your foundation for clinical mastery, but you cannot skip steps. Stay focused on the immediate tasks at hand, and trust these newly acquired skills will be useful later. Also, be demanding of your faculty, and don't let us off the hook! We all need to continue to learn and grow, and a bidirectional relationship where students are as demanding of faculty as we are of them is healthy and productive.

Next up on the bucket list? After 2020, I have adopted a one day at a time mindset!

Most people don’t know that… With sheltering in place, I have cultivated a pretty good home cooking skillset!

Assistant Professor Cheryl Burtle, DC ('99), RT(R)(ARRT) is the lead for Activator II, Foundation Diagnostic Imaging and Radiographic Positioning and assists with Activator I and Clinical Methods II. Get to know her in our latest faculty spotlight.

What does #LeadersMade mean to you? Leaders Made means teaching Logan students to be evidence-based chiropractic physicians, leading the profession into the future.

My favorite memory from my time at Logan is… There are two: sitting in the radiology read room going through cases with Dr. Norman Kettner, and seeing my first patient in the Montgomery Health Center. Getting to apply the knowledge I had been acquiring for 7 trimesters as a student was exciting and rewarding.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be and why? There is no one that I would rather have dinner with than my husband, Ron. We would eat Sole Meunière at La Couronne in Rouen, France. This is the restaurant and dish that Julia Child had as her first meal when she moved to France. The rest is culinary history.

Favorite place you’ve traveled? Seaside, Florida, because of the beautiful beaches and I loved watching my kids play in the water.
No matter the weather, our campus sure is beautiful 💙❄️

As a professor and executive director of simulation learning and assessment center, Daryl Ridgeway, DC ('97) is committed to student success in all he does. Get to know him!

What does #LeadersMade mean to me? At #LoganUniversity, we strive to create Doctors of Chiropractic who are not only excellent physicians in the field of chiropractic, but in all aspects of their lives. Patients, family and friends often turn to a trained professional for guidance, not only in health matters but often in personal issues; this guidance could possibly change a person’s life or improve their activities of daily living.

My advice to incoming students: Understand that we will work you hard for 3.5 years. You will eat, drink and sleep chiropractic for the entire term of your education, but the day you graduate will be one of the proudest moments of your life! You will have a career that will last you a lifetime, and you will affect many other people’s lives in a positive way.

Most people don’t know that: This is my second profession. Prior to coming to chiropractic, I toured for the better part of 20 years as a professional musician, which allowed me to see a great deal of the United States and overseas, from Korea to Australia. I even had the opportunity to physically step into North Korea (without getting shot). I still enjoying playing with local talented musicians whenever possible.

Kayla is grateful to have found a high quality program that will help prepare her to pursue her veterinary medicine degree in coming years. Read the full story at the link in our bio!
