Course Summary
Cox Flexion Distraction technique is one of the most evidence-based chiropractic techniques commonly used by the profession. In this course, you will learn the history of how Dr. James Cox developed this technique and table to what it is today as well as the clinical and cadaver research that support the efficacy of the technique. The course will alternate between lectures covering current concepts regarding low back pain and table practice. Participants will learn the protocols for treating common spinal diagnoses seen in practice ranging from disc lesions, failed back surgery cases, stenosis, and more. Participants will be able to use the table and experience the effects of the adjustment for the spine in flexion, lateral flexion, circumduction, rotation, and extension ranges of motion as well as decompression distraction. Demonstrations using the table to adjust the SI, hip, and knee will be covered as well as muscle stripping.
