Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Glenn Miller’s, DC (’19), path to becoming a wellness expert was far from predictable. His childhood was marked by frequent illnesses, fostering skepticism toward health care. However, Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program changed the trajectory of his life. After attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Dr. Miller transferred to Logan University in 2011, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Life Science before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Sierra Girton Uses MS-SSR Degree to Blaze Trail at Xavier University

Logan University alumna Sierra Girton recently became Xavier University’s first full-time strength and conditioning coach dedicated to only the women’s basketball program. “Every day I feel blessed that I am getting the opportunity to work in collegiate athletics—specifically with women’s basketball because it is the sport I am most passionate about,” Sierra said. Three College of Chiropractic faculty members recently celebrated a combined 145 years of teaching at Logan University: Roy Hillgartner, DC (’69), instructor; John Gutweiler, PhD, professor; and Richard Cranwell, DC (’76), MS, DACBN, professor. After decades of dedication, each educator has made his mark on the university. Dr. Cranwell—who is celebrating 46 years of teaching this April—has developed numerous courses for Logan, including static palpation, motion palpation, extremity adjusting and case management. Applying what he learned during a one-year internship with Clarence Gonstead, DC in 1976, he also founded Logan’s introductory and advanced Gonstead method courses, which he continues to …

Michelle Hately discovered her passion for nutrition while working in an entirely different industry. She was working in IT consulting and was on the road a lot. After a few years of progressing her career in the IT field, she realized she wasn’t truly passionate about the work she was doing. “While I traveled, I was always listening to podcasts and reading books about health and nutrition simply because I was really interested in that,” said Michelle. “I decided to explore to that more to see what a career in that field could look like.” Michelle started doing research and …
