Van Dusen Named to Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners for 2021

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has named Lee Van Dusen, DC, VP of Strategic Performance & Continuous Improvement at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri, to the Board of Examiners for the 2021 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Baldrige Award is the nation’s highest honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence. Appointed by the NIST Director, examiners are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Baldrige Award as well as other assessment-related tasks. Logan Health Center in St. Louis Now Open

Logan University’s newest Health Center, located in the Stephen A. Orthwein Center at Paraquad, is officially open and accepting patients. Located at 5200 Berthold Ave. in St. Louis, the Health Center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The new, full-service Health Center will allow Logan clinicians and student doctors to expand this patient-centered care for individuals of all ages and abilities in the St. Louis community. Caring for our Nation’s Veterans

Nearly 20% of Americans suffer from chronic pain, including 65% of veterans. What’s more, veterans are two times more likely than non-veterans to die from accidental overdoses of highly addictive painkillers, according to the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. But there is hope: Doctors of Chiropractic are uniquely poised to provide safe, effective and drug-free care, and the presence of chiropractors within Veterans Affairs facilities is growing throughout the U.S.–including right here in Logan’s backyard. Kevin Meyer, trimester 10 DC student, is currently completing his preceptorship at the St. Clair County VA Clinic in Shiloh, Illinois. On his experience working with
