Logan University congratulates Amber Henry, EdD, PMP, on her appointment as dean of the College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Henry brings 27 years of experience in higher education, with a career spanning academic leadership, online and adult education, faculty development, student success, and institutional administration. Prior to being named as dean, she served as Logan’s executive director of professional learning and workforce development. She also previously served as interim dean of the College, providing leadership and continuity during a time of transition.
As dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Henry brings a collaborative, student-centered approach to academic leadership. She is committed to supporting faculty and program leaders in their work, encouraging new ideas, and keeping student success at the center of the College’s programs and priorities.
Prior to joining Logan, Dr. Henry spent most of her career at Missouri Baptist University, where she served in a variety of faculty and administrative leadership roles. Most recently, she served as interim vice president for student development and associate vice president for extended learning, overseeing eight regional campuses across Missouri and Illinois, as well as the university’s online and adult programs and online recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
“I’m honored to take on this role and continue serving the Logan community,” said Dr. Henry. “I look forward to working alongside our faculty and program leaders to build on the strengths of the College, explore new opportunities, and ensure our programs continue to meet the evolving needs of our students and the health care professions.”
Dr. Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Missouri Baptist University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Southwest Baptist University. She also holds an education specialist degree in information systems and learning technologies from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a doctorate in teacher leadership from Walden University.
