Dr. Atanas Ignatov is the Program Director of Basic Science courses in the undergraduate and the Doctor of Chiropractic programs. He earned a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Saint Louis University. His research includes insect physiology, plant biochemistry and human fungal pathogens.
Dr. Ignatov’s love of teaching led him to accept a position with Logan University where he taught Physiology in the DC program. His students consistently performed above the national average on the National Board Exams (NBCE) including 100% pass rate in Physiology. Dr. Ignatov gradually transitioned into administrative responsibilities during which time he led Basic Science faculty to achieve similar top scores on Part I of NBCE.
Dr. Ignatov is a member of the Missouri State Anatomical Board and the American Physiology Society.
