Nine Athletes Selected for Team USA Para Powerlifting

In just a few weeks’ time, Jake Schrom will fly to Tokyo, Japan to represent Team USA for Para Powerlifting at the postponed 2020 Paralympic Games. However, for Team USA Para Powerlifting Team High Performance Manager and Coach Mary Hodge, they are already looking to fall 2022 and beyond. Last week, Logan University attended the National Strength & Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) National Conference in Orlando, where they met with significant leaders in the industry of strength and conditioning, networked with other universities, and introduced Logan’s brand-new Master of Science in Strength & Conditioning program, coming summer 2022. Logan’s Master of Science in Sports Science & Rehabilitation degree program was barely off the ground when Jessica Randolph, EdD, MS decided to enroll. Having just earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and unsure of whether to pursue a master’s degree in nutrition or sports performance, Dr. Randolph came across the new degree offered at Logan. “I was intrigued and willing to take a risk coming into a newly developed program,” she said. “The program seemed to fill the educational gaps that I needed and would offer me the most versatility in my career.” …
