Mary Unger-Boyd, DC, DICS, CACCP

Dr. Mary Unger-Boyd graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1997. In addition to owning a private practice in the St. Louis area, Dr. Unger-Boyd, Emeritus Professor at Logan University, has taught Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT®), Logan Basic Methods, Pediatrics, Clinical Methods and myofascial techniques for more than 28 years.
Currently, Dr. Unger-Boyd serves as Interim Director of the Master in science for Chiropractic Pediatrics (MSCP) program and maintains teaching elective techniques in the College of Chiropractic.
She has earned the Certified Craniopathic (CC) from Sacro Occipital Research Society International (SORSI) in 2005, a Diplomat with the International Craniopathic Society (ICS) in 2010, and also obtained Certification from the Academy of Family Practice and Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) in 2011. Dr. Unger-Boyd has served on the Board of Directors for SORSI and on the Academic Advisory Board of the Academy of Family Chiropractic and has lectured on SOT® Methods and Pediatrics for SORSI. In 2011 she was awarded “Researcher of the Year” for SORSI. Most recently, in 2021, Dr. Mary Unger-Boyd was named International Chiropractor of the Year by the International Craniopathic Society and the Sacro Occipital Research Society International (SORSI).
In addition to Logan, she has also taught topics in Pediatrics at Post-graduate seminars as well as in the ACA’s Pediatric Diplomate program. Her contributions to research are numerous. She is a contributing author for the chapter “Chiropractic Consideration for Tethered Oral Tissue” in the “Chiropractic Pediatrics” textbook (2023), as well as a contributing editor for the chapter “Sacro Occipital Technique”. She also was the contributing author for the X-ray Marking chapter in “Textbook of Logan Basic Methods”.
