Julie Armistead, EdD
Instructional Designer
Dr. Julie Armistead joined Logan University in 2022 as the Professional Development Coordinator and currently serves as an Instructional Designer. She brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, with expertise in professional development, education, and workforce training.
She holds a Doctorate in Adult Education (EdD) from Capella University, along with a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on healthcare management from AIU Online.
Dr. Armistead has served in roles including Surgical Technology Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, ABHES Evaluator, Subject Matter Expert, and Instructor. She has been involved in developing virtual reality simulation experiences for surgical technology, enhancing hands-on learning through innovative educational tools.
Dr. Armistead is passionate about creating engaging online assessments that support diverse learning styles and enhance the learning experience.
