Amber Henry, EdD, PMP, has served as Logan University’s Dean of the College of Health Sciences since August 2026.
Dr. Amber Henry brings 27 years of experience in higher education, with a career spanning academic leadership, online and adult education, faculty development, student success, and institutional administration. Prior to joining Logan University, she spent most of her career at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, where she served in a variety of faculty and administrative leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Interim Vice President for Student Development and Associate Vice President for Extended Learning, providing administrative oversight for eight regional campuses throughout Missouri and Illinois, as well as the university’s online and adult programs and online recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
As Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Henry brings a collaborative, student-centered approach to academic leadership. She is committed to supporting faculty and program leaders as subject-matter experts while creating an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership and a belief that strong academic programs are built by empowering people, strengthening relationships, and maintaining a clear focus on student success.
Dr. Henry’s professional interests include academic program development, online teaching and learning, instructional technology, faculty development, organizational leadership, and the creation of innovative educational pathways that respond to the evolving needs of students and the healthcare professions. She is particularly passionate about expanding access to high-quality education and creating learning experiences that prepare students to become knowledgeable, compassionate, and effective professionals and leaders.
Dr. Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Missouri Baptist University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Southwest Baptist University. In 2005, she earned an Education Specialist degree in information systems and learning technologies from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She later earned a Doctor of Education in Teacher Leadership from Walden University.
