A passion for chiropractic and a desire to serve – that’s been Chris Dailey’s, DC (’25) mantra since he started his education at Logan University in 2021.
Now, a recent graduate of Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program, Dr. Dailey has showed no signs of slowing down. In fact, he continues to find opportunities to expand both his skills and leadership in ways that will help the community.
Earlier this year, Dr. Dailey was appointed to the St. Louis Health Board. He is currently the only black male, the youngest member and the only individual representing the chiropractic profession.
As a member, Dr. Dailey will advise, support and advocate for strategies and resources that will enhance health and well-being in the city of St. Louis. “Having a seat at the table allows me to be a mouthpiece for chiropractic and offer a diverse perspective in the health care space,” he said. “I’m excited to serve and be an inspiration to others.”
The four-year term with the Health Board will challenge Dr. Dailey to think about how he can support and advocate for optimal health.
“It’s been really interesting learning about the health care landscape and history in St. Louis and how this board, which has been around for 100 years, helps fill needs in the community,” he said. “Right now, I’m working to understand what the needs are, what’s working now and how we can move forward.”
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Dailey has always leaned into leadership roles. He learned the values of discipline and time management early on in life, which provided the structure to serve in many capacities while studying for school.
“I’ve just always been my own cheerleader – but one of the areas I give credit to is the safe spaces I have been involved in throughout my journey,” he said. He has been involved in many St. Louis-based organization that provides experiences, opportunities, and resources for youth who face economic and systemic barriers.
As part of these organizations, Dr. Dailey was surrounded by goal-oriented, ambitious individuals. One of his peers, who really stood out to him, was set on becoming a sports commissioner. “He believed in it, and he had faith, and I thought if he can shoot for the stars, maybe I can too. Coming to Logan was part of that dream.”
After transferring from Truman State University, Dr. Dailey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in April 2023 and his DC degree in April 2025 from Logan.
While pursuing his chiropractic studies, Dr. Dailey seized every opportunity to apply his skills and make an impact. That included treating patients at Affinia Healthcare to working at the Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC), co-founding Leaders Advocating for Diversity in Sciences (L.A.D.S.), being a past Vice-President of the Student American Black Chiropractic Association at Logan, and serving the unhoused community in the city. These experiences have strengthened his commitment to advocacy and support.
“I believe God guides my path,” he said. “He gives me direction in my life and that faith has been the driving force behind it all.”
