Orientation Overview

Welcome to Logan University! New Student Orientation and the Commitment to Excellence Ceremony are mandatory events for all new Doctor of Chiropractic students. Orientation is a one-day, on-campus event, aimed to support your transition to campus. You will be introduced to student life, academic success resources, technology, health services, and more! The Commitment to Excellence Ceremony will take place on the same date, immediately following Orientation.

Commitment to Excellence Ceremony

Beginning in January 2024, as new cohorts commence their journey into the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program, they will partake in the inaugural Commitment to Excellence Ceremony. This milestone event not only signifies their dedication to their educational legacy at Logan but also marks the inception of their preclinical journey. During the Commitment to Excellence Ceremony, students will be presented with blue coats and will take an oath of their commitment to being a chiropractic student physician in training.

A detailed Orientation schedule will be emailed to you by a member of our Student Affairs Department approximately one month before your program begins.

Yes! All students are required to purchase an iPad prior to Orientation. Please bring your iPad fully charged to Orientation.

Yes. Professional business attire is required. Examples of appropriate attire include dress slacks, skirts, professional dresses, and blouses. Please do not wear jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, hats, polo shirts, or athletic wear. This dress code also applies to the Commitment to Excellence Ceremony.

Absolutely! We welcome your friends and family to join and support you at the Ceremony, which will take place on campus the evening of your on-campus Orientation. Doors open for guests at 4:30 PM, and the Ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM.

Trimester 1 classes will begin the day after your on-campus Orientation.

If you’ve been accepted into the program, our Information Technology Department will email your account login details as early as four months prior to your program start date.

No need to register—our Office of the Registrar will handle that for you. Class schedules will be released approximately 1–2 months before your start date and will be accessible via Self-Service using your Logan email and password. You’ll be notified via email when it’s available.

Once you receive your class schedule, you can search for, and purchase required textbooks through our online bookstore.

To determine your eligibility, please submit a FAFSA at studentaid.gov.
