David R. Harris, M.Ed
Adjunct Faculty
David R. Harris, M.Ed. brings more than three decades of experience in teaching, leadership and curriculum development to his role as adjunct instructor for History 201: Modern American History. From 1991 to 2026, he served the Mechanicsburg Area School District as a Social Studies Teacher, Department Chair, and ultimately high school principal, shaping academic programs and supporting student success across multiple levels.
In addition to his K–12 leadership experience, Harris taught as an adjunct instructor at Pennsylvania State University from 2004 to 2005, contributing to undergraduate education in the social sciences. He earned his B.S. in Education from Pennsylvania State University in 1990 and his M.Ed. from Shippensburg University in 1998, where he also completed his Principal’s Certificate and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility.
