Logan Welcomes Dean of the College of Health Sciences

Logan University proudly welcomes Cory Viehl, PHD, LPC, NCC, ACS, CPCS, BC-TMH as Dean of the College of Health Sciences.

Dr. Viehl brings extensive experience in higher education administration, curriculum development, teaching and clinical supervision. His work spans undergraduate and graduate education and includes accreditation-aligned program design, faculty development and student success initiatives across both academic and clinical training environments.

Dr. Viehl has led academic units through periods of growth and change, overseeing academic operations, assessment and strategic planning with a consistent focus on collaboration, innovation, and responsiveness to an evolving workforce landscape. He has taught in higher education for 18 years across various modalities and is deeply committed to experiential learning, inclusive pedagogy, and preparing students for meaningful, service-oriented careers.

With a background that bridges academic leadership and applied professional practice, Dr. Viehl values a holistic approach to education—one that emphasizes evidence-informed decision-making and the integration of theory and practice. At Logan, Dr. Viehl is dedicated to advancing academic excellence, supporting faculty and staff, and ensuring students are equipped to thrive as professionals and leaders in their fields.
