Office Hours
Your instructor is always your first stop for course help. Faculty hold office hours for one hour each week during the trimester — check your course syllabus for the schedule. Reach out by email or phone, and expect a response within 24 hours on weekdays when classes are in session; during breaks or weekends, you'll hear back within 24 hours of the return to the regular class schedule.
Peer Tutoring
Logan's free peer-tutoring program, run through the Department of Student Affairs, connects you with fellow students who've excelled in the courses you need help with. Tutoring is offered individually or in groups, including through the Academic Success Center.
Who Can Tutor
Peer tutors meet a few requirements before they're matched with students:
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Have earned an A or B in the course they tutor
- Interview with the Assistant Dean of Student Success
- Complete an application with a faculty recommendation

- 2Select your class from the dropdown menu
- 3Choose a tutor and reach out by email, text or phone

Teaching Assistants
Some courses are supported by teaching assistants who help faculty with classroom delivery and management. TAs may also hold additional review sessions and office hours.

Technique Lab
Faculty Technique tutoring and the Open Technique Lab give you space to practice chiropractic techniques under the supervision of a licensed doctor. You must be enrolled in — or have already earned credit for — the technique, and the faculty member staffing the lab must approve your participation. Practice time may be limited for safety reasons, insufficient training in the technique, or unmet criteria.
Success Coaches
Your Success Coach can connect you with study skills and time management seminars to help you stay on track. Learn more about student success.
Online Support
Online students can access comparable tutoring through video technology. Reach out to your Success Coach or the Office of Student Affairs at StudentAffairs@logan.edu. If a course you need isn't showing up in the tutor dropdown, email the Academic Support Program Manager for help.
Scheduling a Virtual Session
Follow the same Canvas peer-tutoring steps above, then let your tutor know you'd like to meet virtually. Once your session is confirmed, download Zoom at zoom.us to join.
