Library policies on fines, fees, replacement costs, donations, and interlibrary loan and reciprocal borrowing apply to students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike. Check them before you borrow materials so you know the rules and any costs involved.
Books, journals, and media can be renewed online or in person unless another patron has placed a hold.

Contact the library to arrange a long-term loan; the cost of long-term loan materials is charged to the faculty member's department. Faculty are responsible for checked-out materials at the end of each trimester and for completing the library's clearance process.
Donation Policy
Logan University welcomes donations to the library. All materials are evaluated for inclusion in the circulating or archival collections; items not accepted are offered to students, faculty, and staff. Papers, photographs, and documents relating to Logan history or graduates are evaluated for the Logan Archives.
All donated items become the property of Logan University and cannot be returned to the donor. The library will acknowledge receipt of donated items but cannot provide fair market or appraisal values.
Interlibrary Loan & Reciprocal Borrowing
Logan's library is a member of the Missouri Bibliographic Information User System (MOBIUS), a network of more than 70 college, university, and public libraries across Missouri that provides shared access to each library's online catalog. Through MOBIUS, Logan students, faculty, and staff can borrow books from any participating library, check their account, place holds, and renew materials through the Logan online catalog.
Need something that isn't available through Logan or MOBIUS? The interlibrary loan program gives the Logan community access to books and articles from other libraries.
General Library Policies
- Eating is prohibited in the library.
- Cell phones should be silenced; take calls outside the library.
- Children under 12 require adult supervision.
- Copyright laws prohibit unauthorized copying, duplicating, or format-changing of media materials.
- Personal items are the responsibility of the owner.
- Safety and fire regulations forbid lingering or sitting on the staircase or blocking emergency exits.
