Consultations
The CLL team offers one-on-one consultations, in person or virtual, with recommendations for creating engaging, high-impact learning experiences. Consultations routinely cover:
- Designing courses and course materials — syllabi, assignments, grading criteria, Canvas pages
- Strategies for engaging students and promoting classroom participation
- Using technology effectively in the online classroom
- Developing accessible content aligned with Universal Design for Learning
- PowerPoint and presentation design
- The Professional Development in Teaching Program
Observations and Feedback on Teaching
Observations happen only at the instructor's request, by video recording, in-class visit or live Zoom session. The team discusses the class beforehand to understand its challenges, then focuses on areas such as classroom management, clarity and organization, presentation skills, use of technology, teaching methods and inclusive teaching. Afterward, the instructor meets with CLL staff to review strengths and growth areas, receives a confidential written observation, and — if the session was recorded — an MP4 of the class.

Educational Resources
The CLL supplies tools and rubrics for teaching, assessment design and course development, and funds an institutional membership in the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) for all Logan instructors and staff.
