Degree Verification
Logan partners with the National Student Clearinghouse for degree and enrollment verification. Employers and screening firms should visit DegreeVerify.org or write to the National Student Clearinghouse, 2300 Dulles Station Boulevard, Suite 300, Herndon, VA 20171.
Graduation
- 1Submit your graduation application to your Success Coach.
- 2Your Success Coach runs a degree audit to confirm eligibility.
- 3The approved application is forwarded to the Registrar's Office.
- 4The Registrar submits your name for commencement planning, orders your diploma and prepares your final packet.

Veteran Certification
Logan's Certifying Official, housed in the Registrar's Office, is your liaison to the Department of Veterans Affairs and advises on benefit eligibility so your enrollment is certified correctly. Because the VA has sole authority over eligibility, direct those questions to benefits.va.gov/gibill or 1-888-442-4551. Full details live on the Veterans page.
Documentation You Provide
- Veterans: submit your DD-214 and Certificate of Eligibility.
- Dependents: submit a Certificate of Eligibility and the Department of Defense authorization for transferred benefits.
- If your Certificate of Eligibility hasn't arrived, provide a copy of your full VA application to the certifying official.
- Complete a veteran benefit registration form each trimester you want to be certified.
- Manage claims and check status at eBenefits.
New and Transfer Students
New student veterans and eligible dependents who have never used VA education benefits apply online at VA.gov education benefits. Any student veteran who previously used VA education benefits at another school (other than vocational rehabilitation) must complete a change of program or place of training form.
Yellow Ribbon Program
Logan participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for all degree programs. Logan funds 50% of remaining unmet tuition and fee charges, up to a contracted maximum of $10,000; the amount varies by program cost and by any tuition-specific scholarships or grants already awarded. Yellow Ribbon awards cannot be combined with other Logan awards to create a tuition surplus.
To qualify you must:
- Be admitted as a degree-seeking student with net tuition and fees above the VA's annual maximum rate.
- Be eligible for Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits at the 100% level.
- Maintain good academic standing at Logan.
- Provide proof of eligibility to Logan's certifying official.
Awards continue each year you remain in your program as long as the University renews its VA agreement. Contributions are not adjusted after the last day to drop without a W, typically the end of the second week of classes; costs from adds or drops after that date are your responsibility.
Student Veteran Responsibilities
- Notify the certifying official each trimester you want to be certified by completing the registration form.
- Register only for courses required by your degree.
- Do not register for courses you have already passed, including transfer credit.
- Maintain satisfactory progress toward your degree.
- Notify the certifying official if you change programs, add or drop a class, withdraw, change address or deplete your benefits.
Attending While VA Payment Is Pending
Under Title 38 U.S. Code 3679(e), Logan will not prevent enrollment, assess a late fee, require alternative funding, or deny access to classes, the library or other facilities to any student using Chapter 33 or Chapter 31 benefits while VA payment to the University is pending. To qualify, you may be asked to produce your Certificate of Eligibility by the first day of class, submit a written request to be certified, and provide any additional information the Primary School Certifying Official needs.
