Using VA Benefits
Before using VA benefits at Logan, all veterans and dependents must document eligibility.
- 1Request your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA at VA.gov.
- 2Submit your Certificate of Eligibility to Logan's School Certifying Official.
- 3Register for classes, then complete a veteran benefit registration form for each trimester you want benefits certified.
- 4Email Veterans@logan.edu to request your registration form.

New Students
If you're a new student veteran or eligible dependent who has never used VA education benefits, submit your application online at Vets.gov.
Transfer Students
If you previously received VA education benefits — other than vocational rehabilitation — at another school, complete a change of program or place of training form to continue your benefits at Logan.
Yellow Ribbon
Logan participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, funding 50% of remaining unmet tuition and fee charges for qualified applicants across all degree programs. Awards vary by program cost and other scholarships, and cannot combine with other Logan awards to create a tuition surplus.

Once selected, you receive this funding each year you remain in your current program, as long as Logan renews its agreement with the VA. Contributions are finalized at the end of the second week of classes, so settle your schedule before the add/drop deadline. Current annual maximums are published at benefits.va.gov/gibill/yellow_ribbon.asp.
Your Responsibilities
Logan's certifying official works with the VA to monitor your enrollment and academic program. As a student veteran you should:
- Complete the veteran benefits registration form every trimester you want to be certified
- Register only for courses required by your degree plan
- Avoid registering for courses already passed at Logan or another institution
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Notify the certifying official immediately if you change programs, add or drop classes, withdraw, change address or deplete your VA benefits
