Our Mission
Logan trains health care professionals in evidence-informed, whole-person care. The curriculum is outcome-based and clinically immersive, so graduates are ready to meet growing demand for less-invasive, lower-cost treatment options and lead in an integrated health care system.

Our Campus
Logan's 112-acre hilltop campus in Chesterfield, Missouri, has been home since 1973. It holds the anatomy labs, technique rooms and student spaces where you'll train, with plenty of room to work out, play and refuel.
Living in St. Louis
Downtown St. Louis is about 20 minutes from campus. You get a major metro with a low cost of living, a growing health care sector, and hundreds of parks and trails close by.
Harris Wellness Center
Train indoors and out: strength and cardio equipment, athletic fields and courts, group fitness classes and team sports.
18-Hole Disc Golf Course
Play a free round on a 2-mile course across campus, with elevation changes and water features. It's open to students, staff and the community.
Logan Café
Grab breakfast or lunch with friends, or a nutritious meal to go, on the first floor of the Administration Building.
History Timeline
- 1935
Logan College of Chiropractic Inc. opens its doors on September 1 with seven students. Dr. H.B. Logan serves as the first president at the original Lindell Boulevard location.
- 1936
The College moves to a 17-acre estate in Normandy, Missouri, to serve its expanding student body.
- 1939
Logan celebrates its first graduating class: eight new Doctors of Chiropractic launch their careers from the Normandy campus.
- 1944
Dr. Vinton F. Logan becomes the second president and expands the campus with facilities designed for clinical training.
- 1958
Carver College of Chiropractic merges with Logan, honoring the legacy of pioneer Dr. Willard Carver.
- 1961
Former Dean Dr. William Coggins takes the helm as Logan's third president.
- 1964
Missouri Chiropractic College merges with Logan. The institution is officially renamed Logan College of Chiropractic.
- 1972
Logan acquires the 112-acre Chesterfield campus for $1.8 million.
- 1973
Logan officially moves to its current campus in Chesterfield, Missouri.
- 1979
After four decades of service, Dr. Coggins retires. The Board selects Dr. M.T. Morter to guide Logan into a new era.
- 1980
Dr. Beatrice Hagen begins her presidency, serving the Logan community for twelve years.
- 1982
The Montgomery Health Center opens, honoring alumnus and longtime anatomy instructor Dr. Dale C. Montgomery.
- 1986
Construction begins on the Science and Research Center, a 30,000-square-foot facility that opens in 1987.
- 1993
Alumnus Dr. George A. Goodman becomes Logan's sixth president, bringing decades of clinical and educational experience.
- 1995
Logan pays off the Science and Research Center debt.
- 2000
The William D. Harris, DC Sports and Wellness Center opens.
- 2004
The Learning Resources Center opens, transforming a historic chapel into a modern library.
- 2007
The 47,000-square-foot William D. Purser DC Center opens — a $22.7 million project that becomes the home of Logan graduations and events.
- 2008
The Standard Process® Student Center opens, a privately-funded student space.
- 2010
Celebrating 75 years, Logan breaks ground on a new Educational Wing featuring an Assessment Center and a 133-seat classroom.
- 2013
Alumnus Dr. Clay McDonald is inaugurated as Logan's seventh president.
- 2016
Logan expands online, introducing the Doctorate of Health Professions Education and Master of Science in Health Informatics programs.
- 2017
Logan the Leopard, the university's mascot, joins the community during the inaugural Founder's Day celebration.
- 2019
Logan dedicates the George A. Goodman DC Learning Resources Center and launches the Advancing Education, Transforming Lives capital campaign to renovate and expand the Science & Research Building, anchored by a $1 million pledge from Logan alum Arlan Fuhr, DC ('61).
- 2020
Logan becomes one of 16 schools in the country to offer a graduate-level dietetics program accredited under the Future Education Model by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Logan also partners with the city of Chesterfield to lease land for Logan Park and introduces the Spirit of Logan Distinguished Alumni Award, recognizing accomplishments, service and commitment that bring credit to Logan, the recipient's community and the profession.
- 2021
Logan opens a Health Center inside the Stephen A. Orthwein Center at Paraquad, hosts the World Para Powerlifting Americas Open Championship, and breaks ground with the City of Chesterfield on the new Logan Park.
- 2024
Dr. Garrett Thompson is named Logan's eighth president following Dr. McDonald's retirement.

President H. Garrett Thompson
Dr. H. Garrett Thompson, DC, PhD, is Logan University's eighth president. He brings more than 20 years of academic and strategic leadership experience, holding a bachelor's degree in biology from Reed College and a PhD in biochemistry from Loma Linda University.
