Jana Holwick, Ph.D
Provost-Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Jana Holwick is a distinguished academic leader with a proven record of service and innovation in higher education. Currently serving as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Logan University, Dr. Holwick brings more than three decades of experience in healthcare and education to Logan.
Dr. Holwick began her career in academia as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance before transitioning into academic leadership roles where she has spent the last 12 years working closely with faculty and academic administrators.
Her extensive leadership portfolio includes positions such as Interim Dean of Education, Vice President for Academic Planning and Research, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at both Lake Erie College and Life University. Dr. Holwick is highly skilled in institutional planning, resource allocation and development, program assessment, and higher education policy.
A respected voice in accreditation and quality assurance, Dr. Holwick has served as both an Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) and Standard Pathway reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission, facilitating multiple strategy forums for AQIP institutions. Additionally, she has contributed as a peer reviewer and Councilor for the Council on Chiropractic Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities.
Dr. Holwick has contributed to statewide initiatives, including the Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor’s Rule 8 Revision Advisory Committee, the Regents Distance Learning Technology Subcommittee, and the Lake County Broadband Task Force.
Beyond her roles in higher education, Dr. Holwick is an active member of Rotary International, where she served as treasurer of the Dallas, Georgia chapter, and has been a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for more than 40 years.
She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership with a focus on enrollment management from Capella University and holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
