Brooke A. Miller, DMSc, PA-C
Chair/Founding Program Director
An experienced clinician and passionate medical educator, entrepreneur, and previous business executive, Dr. Brooke Miller is the Chair and Founding Program Director of the Physician Assistant Program.
Dr. Miller earned her PA degree from Southern Illinois University, her Master of Science, Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska, and her Doctor of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg. Her professional experience includes PA Program administration and faculty, successful grant-writer, operations leadership of a multi-site federally qualified health center, international business executive management, and corporate training. Her clinical experience includes 17 years of family medicine as a primary care provider.
Dr. Miller has experience in PA program accreditation. Her teaching and professional interests include interprofessional learning, population health and social determinates of health, trauma informed care, and includes years of practicing and teaching family medicine. She has presented to regional, state, and national audiences and is passionate about medically underserved, whole-person care and developing faculty and educating future medical providers.
Dr. Miller is the proud mother to two teenage sons and loves watching them grow.
