José Ramirez, DC (‘09), MHA, MS, MTAA

Biography

José Ramirez DC, MHA, MS is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Missouri, where he brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, clinical practice, and leadership. His academic focus includes curriculum development, clinical ethics, and healthcare leadership, and he is deeply committed to mentoring students and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Dr. Ramirez has an extensive clinical background, having served as an Assistant Professor of Chiropractic at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and as a Team Chiropractic Physician for Mizzou Athletics. His expertise in sports medicine is further highlighted by his certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and his leadership roles in human performance at Logan University and Mizzou Athletics.
He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) and a Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University, an Executive Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Missouri, and is currently pursuing an EdD in Health Professions Education. His academic and clinical contributions are complemented by active involvement in accreditation, assessment, and professional service across multiple institutions.
