Logan University’s PA Program prepares you to practice evidence-based medicine with cultural sensitivity and patient-centered focus. You will complete a rigorous 24-month curriculum to earn your Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant degree. Apply your knowledge in the field during 12 months of clinical rotations and advanced coursework. You will complete nine Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs) across core specialties like Family Medicine and Surgery. Each trimester, you'll return to campus for intensive sessions to sharpen your skills and prepare for your applied thesis project. This phase ensures you are ready to pass your NCCPA boards and start elevating lives as a practicing PA.

Logan University has been granted Accreditation – Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). This mission-driven program is built in full compliance with ARC-PA Standards, ensuring every graduate meets the rigorous requirements to practice as a competent and compassionate healthcare provider. The Physician Assistant (PA) profession remains one of the fastest-growing fields in the U.S., and our Master of Medical Science (MMS) curriculum is designed to prepare you for diverse settings, from internal medicine to high-acuity emergency care.

Beyond the classroom, Physician Assistant students have access to elite professional resources. We are currently establishing a chapter of the Pi Alpha Honor Society, the national honor society for PAs that recognizes academic achievement and community service. Membership is available to students maintaining a 3.5 GPA who demonstrate excellence in research or professional service. Additionally, all students benefit from Logan’s comprehensive support systems, including free counseling services for students and their dependents, specialized medical library access, and dedicated academic support teams.

To join our January 2027 cohort, you must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution. While we welcome foreign medical graduates who hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, we require at least one full year of science coursework at a U.S. institution within the last two years. All Physician Assistant program applicants must submit three letters of recommendation and official transcripts showing a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to applicants with a GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Join us for a PA Visit Day on the last Monday of each month to tour our campus facilities.

The Physician Assistant program ensures you graduate with the mastery required for entry-level practice across four critical domains. In Clinical and Technical Skills, you will perform focused physical examinations and safe technical procedures. Through Clinical Reasoning, you will generate differential diagnoses and develop management plans using evidence-informed principles. Your Interpersonal Skills will be sharpened through effective patient education and interprofessional collaboration. Finally, your Medical Knowledge will span the entire life cycle, integrating social and behavioral sciences into daily patient care to elevate lives in your community.

During your clinical phase, you will rotate through diverse medical environments to ensure a broad scope of practice. The Physician Assistant program secures placements in Behavioral Health, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Women’s Health. These Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs) are meticulously vetted; Logan University conducts on-site safety assessments for every clinical location to ensure a secure and productive learning environment for all students.
