Logan University hosted its first ever Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society induction ceremony on Friday, March 22, 2024. The ceremony welcomed eight faculty members and 40 students into the nation’s oldest and most selective multidisciplinary honor society.
The ceremony showcased the inductees’ academic achievements and potential, aligning with Phi Kappa Phi’s mission to promote academic excellence and community service. Keynote speakers, including Logan University Provost Brian McAulay and Phi Kappa Phi Chapter President-Elect Patrick Montgomery, provided insights into the society’s rich history and core values.
Participants were informed about the numerous awards and fellowships offered by Phi Kappa Phi, highlighting the opportunities for academic and professional growth.
The ceremony concluded with remarks from Dr. Karen Dishauzi, Associate Dean of Students, who stressed the importance of academic excellence and community engagement.
“It was a special moment for our university, and I am excited for the opportunities that Phi Kappa Phi and the Logan University chapter will bring to our new members in the Logan community,” said Dr. Dishauzi.
