Jamie Daugherty Rdn, PhD, LD

Jamie Bommarito Daugherty, PhD, RDN, LD serves as Program Director for the Master of Science in Applied Nutrition & Dietetics and the Master of Science in Nutrition & Human Performance.

Dr. Daugherty is a registered dietitian with more than 20 years of experience, blending nutrition and culinary arts to promote practical, approachable lifestyles.

Dr. Daugherty received a BA in Psychology from St. Louis University and BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Illinois – Chicago, a MS in Nutrition and Physical Performance from St. Louis University, and a PhD in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado. She also has a certificate in Culinary Arts from Boston University to aid in bridging culinary and nutrition.

Her experience spans kitchens, classrooms, and clinical settings, where she fosters positive relationships with food, health, and movement. Dr. Daugherty has worked with families, individuals managing conditions such as diabetes, celiac disease, and eating disorders, as well as students and athletes striving to meet personal goals.

Outside of work, Dr. Daugherty enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, staying active outdoors, traveling, reading, photography, and cooking.
