Nicklaus Toedebusch may be new to the sport, but he is quickly fell in love with powerlifting.  As an athlete he works hard to train and continue his education. Making Team USA in January 2020, Nicklaus is excited to represent his team and country, while competing in a sport for which  he has a true passion. Nicklaus has a goal of representing the team in the 2024 Paralympic Games, to take place in Paris, in 2021.

Born and raised in Centralia, Missouri, Toedebusch was involved in lawnmower accident resulting in his legs amputated right below the knee. He does not let this slow him down. He competes in high school cross country, wrestling and track and field.  Nicklaus graduated from Centralia High School in 2019, and is currently attending Missouri Welding Institute in Nevada, Missouri.  Nicklaus first competed in Para Powerlifting at the Gateway Games, in St. Louis, Missouri.
