In 2012, Antonio became paralyzed from a gunshot wound to the back while working security. It left him paralyzed from the waist down, instantly ruining his chances of a professional football career. Antonio didn’t let that stop him. He took this as a lesson to see what his purpose in life was. Not letting his current circumstances stop him from pursuing his dream of continuing to be an athlete he took up powerlifting. In 2017, he started to workout again. After years of being a wheelchair, he finally found his purpose. Antonio is aspiring to qualify to become a Paralympian. Antonio is now the American Record Holder for para powerlifting. He is currently ranked #6 in the world and placed #4 in the World Championships in Kazakhstan in July of 2019. Antonio has helped so many members of his community with his story and courage. He is an inspiration to others. He is a husband and father of three. Antonio is an entrepreneur. Antonio is the founder of Bros 2 Pros sports agency and Raw Natural Strength fitness brand. Antonio is a soon to be an author. He and his wife are currently writing a book together. They both are certified relationship coaches and ordained ministers. Antonio’s goal with para powerlifting is to become a gold medalist at a Paralympic game.
