Chesterfield Named Safest Place in Missouri by Movoto

Back in 2014, the city of Chesterfield was ranked the third safest city in Missouri by the Movoto Real Estate blog. The blog has recently updated their rankings for 2015 and Chesterfield has climbed the list all the way to the top overall spot.

Movoto uses crime information from the FBI to tabulate their rankings. Chesterfield's population of over 47,000 residents and its minuscule crime rate pushed the city past Town & Country as the safest place in Missouri.

Here are the blog's top-10 safest places in Missouri:
1. City of Chesterfield
2. City of Manchester
3. City of Clayton
4. City of Creve Coeur
5. City of Lake St. Louis
6. City of Grain Valley
7. City of Eureka
8. City of Nixa
9. City of Crestwood
10. City of Jackson

Are You Interested in an Intramural Bowling League?

Logan University’s Sports and Recreation department is attempting to gauge student’s interest in organizing an Intramural Bowling league. The proposed activity would consist of 2-5 player teams, competing in a 4-6 week round-robin style league, with a single-elimination tournament at the end. A match will consist of 2-3 games.

Teams will compete one or two days per week; Monday through Thursday, beginning at 4:00p. Anticipated start date is Tuesday, January 20. League will be a co-rec league, so each team can be made up of any mix of men and women. A bowling handicap system will be used so that participants with varying levels of skill and ability will have an equal chance of winning.

All Logan University students, faculty and staff members are eligible. Participants are limited to playing on only one team.

The league will be hosted by West County Bowling Lanes at 15727 Manchester Road, Ellisville, MO  63011.

Cost is expected to be around $3.00 per participant per night.
