William Sobotor, PhD
Dr. William Sobotor completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Bloomsbury University and his PhD at Syracuse University. His clinical background is medical radiography and radiation oncology. He was employed as a radiation therapist at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa. and University Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y.
Dr. Sobotor has a long history in health professions education. He was associate professor and program vice-chairperson of Radiation Therapy Technology at the State University of New York in Syracuse. Dr. Sobotor was associate professor and chairperson of the Allied Health Division at Darton College, Albany, Ga. He served as Professor and founding Dean of Allied Health at Baptist College of Health Sciences, Memphis, Tenn. Immediately prior to joining Logan University, he retired as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Baptist College of Health Sciences.
He served as an accreditation site-visitor for the New Your State Department of Health, the Joint Commission on Education in Radiologic Technology, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. In addition, he served as a commissioner on the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
