Shailee Saran Varanasi, MS, MSc, RD, LD
Shailee Saran Varanasi is a registered and licensed dietitian with nearly two decades of experience in the field of nutrition. Shailee received her Bachelors in Home Science and Masters in Food and Nutrition from Delhi University, India. The early part of her career was spent in nutrition research with Nutrition Foundation of India and the Center for Research on Nutrition Support Systems. Subsequently she completed her Dietetic Verification from Fontbonne University followed by Dietetic Internship and Masters in Allied Health-Nutrition from Barnes Jewish College at Washington Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri. She has been a preceptor for dietetic interns and an adjunct instructor at the University of Missouri, Columbia and Fontbonne University, St. Louis.
Shailee is the recipient of the Ninth John M. Kinney-Nestle International Award for Pediatric Nutrition, NSI young scientist award and Jeanette Spector Scholarship. She has been on the Executive Board for the Indian Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ISPEN) and has been a guest speaker at national and international forums.
Shailee enjoys volunteering in the community and is the past president for India Association of St. Louis. She currently works as a clinical dietitian in St. Louis with SSM Health and BJC Health Care.
