Nan Harrell, PhD
Dr. Nan Harrell received a Ph.D. in Information Systems with an emphasis in security from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Harrell’s research interests are in information security management, information security behavior, and information systems. Her dissertation was on “Factors impacting information security noncompliance when completing job tasks.” She also holds an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix, a BS in Education from Henderson State University and an ASS in Data Processing from Tarrant County College.
Prior to joining her current university, Dr. Harrell spent 13 years with the State of Arkansas in both an Information Systems Manager and Security Officer role, and an Information Systems and Security Project/Program Manager role.
Dr. Harrell is a member of the Association of Information Systems (AIS), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Dr. Harrell is also an FBI Citizen Academy Alumni, a Certified Public Manager (CPM) and a certified Arkansas Governmental Manager (AGM).
