Linda Reed, EdD, PA
Dr. Linda Reed holds graduate degrees in higher education from the University of North Texas (EdD) and the University of Oklahoma (MEd). Her undergraduate and professional training were in zoology at the University of Oklahoma and physician assistant studies at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, respectively. Dr. Reed spent the majority of her career in physician assistant (PA) education in Oklahoma, Texas, West Virginia, and Tennessee. She has served as a program director and department chair and led the efforts to convert the PA programs at the University of Oklahoma and University of North Texas to masters-level programs. Before joining Logan, Dr. Reed was an associate professor and department chair for Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn. She also served as professor and Dean of the Allied Health Division at Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, Tenn.
Dr. Reed’s clinical work as a physician assistant spanned 3 decades in multiple primary care settings. Her research interests have included primary care issues, best practices in health professions education, faculty career satisfaction and motivation theory and its effect on learning behaviors.
