Jan Edwards-Webster, EdD
Dr. Jan Webster holds graduate degrees in education from Gardner-Webb University (EdD) and the North Carolina Central University (MEd). Her undergraduate and professional training were in mathematics at the Bennett College for Women and education. Dr. Webster spent the majority of her career in higher education in Iowa, Virginia and Texas. She has served as a career services director and associate dean as well as assisted in the efforts to convert the BA programs at Beulah Heights University to master’s level programs. Before joining Logan, Dr. Webster was an associate professor and lead faculty for mathematics at Heald College. She also served as professor and curriculum developer.
Dr. Webster’s practitioner work as educator spans 2 decades in multiple educational settings. Her research interests include brain-based learning, habits of mind, lifelong learning, social-emotional and online learning, and diversity issues in adult education.
