Joseph Pfeifer, DC
Dean of the College of Chiropractic
As Dean of the College of Chiropractic, Dr. Joseph Pfeifer oversees Logan’s campus-based health professions programs and the Logan Health Centers.
Dr. Pfeifer obtained his DC degree from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) where his coursework included Logan Basic technique taught by Leonard Venezia, DC (’56). He graduated with academic honors and was bestowed with the chiropractic technique award.
During his 25 years of experience as a practicing chiropractic physician, Dr. Pfeifer earned post-graduate certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Sports Physicians and Diplomate status from the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DABCN) and the American Chiropractic Academy of Neurology (DACAN).
He was a member of NYCC’s faculty for 24 years, serving as a clinician and teaching courses in diagnostic imaging and clinical neurology. During that time, Dr. Pfeifer attained the rank of full Professor and also held the responsibilities of the Chief of Staff for Clinical Services and Dean of Chiropractic Clinical Education.
Dr. Pfeifer has extensive experience in chiropractic programmatic accreditation. Prior to joining Logan University, he most recently served the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he held the positions of Vice President of Clinic Affairs and Chief Clinical Excellence Officer.
