As a Library Assistant, Alejandra Gamache provides basic reference assistance, circulates library materials, and assists with shelf reading and shelving books and other media resources. Alejandra also provides photocopies and electronic copies as requested by alumni, field doctors and interlibrary loan sources.
Prior to joining Logan in 2016, Alejandra attended the University of Missouri (Mizzou), where she earned her Master of Arts in Information Science & Learning Technologies with an emphasis in Library Science. She also became certified as a K-12 Library Media Specialist. Alejandra also earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education grades one through six from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL).
Alejandra previously worked as a library clerk at the Daniel Boone Branch and then as a circulation assistant at the Lewis and Clark Branch, both part of the St. Louis County Library system. She also currently serves as an elementary library media specialist in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
Over the years, Alejandra has been certified by Maryville University as a STEM Educator, certified by DESE as a K-12 library media specialist from Mizzou and certified by DESE as a 1-6 teacher from UMSL. She also serves as a member of the Missouri Association of School Librarians.
