Doctors of Chiropractic can change the trajectory of children’s lives in a positive way by improving their health. Logan University’s online Master of Science in Integrative Pediatrics program blends passion, excellence and leadership and offers clinically focused, evidence-based, specialized training for Doctors of Chiropractic seeking to become experts in pediatric health care.

Learn more about the program from program founder Dr. Elise Hewitt, a board-certified pediatric Doctor of Chiropractic and one of the foremost authorities in the specialty of chiropractic pediatrics, in this engaging and interactive webinar. Dr. Hewitt has spent more than 30 years advocating for the chiropractic care of children and served as president of the ACA Pediatrics Council for 10 years.

Session led by Elise Hewitt, DC, DICCP, FICC

A board-certified pediatric Doctor of Chiropractic and one of the foremost authorities in the specialty of chiropractic pediatrics, Dr. Elise Hewitt has focused her 33-year career on improving children’s health with chiropractic care. She served as President of the ACA Pediatrics Council for 10 years.

Dr. Hewitt is an alumnus of the University of Colorado and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Western States Chiropractic College (now UWS).

In addition to treating children in her pediatrics-only practice and serving as the Founding Program Director for Logan University’s Master of Science in Integrative Pediatrics, Dr. Hewitt is also a member of the prestigious NCMIC Speakers Bureau and has taught at the post-graduate level for numerous chiropractic institutions and associations throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Dr. Hewitt serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine (JCM) and is a peer reviewer for several science journals. Her own recent peer-reviewed publications include consensus studies on pediatric best practices (JMPT 2016) and core competencies of the pediatric specialist (JEBCAM 2016), as well as an evaluation of forces used in pediatric spinal manipulation (JMPT 2017).

Dr. Hewitt was honored to be named 2019 Pediatric Chiropractic of the Year by the ACA Pediatrics Council. In 2017, she received the Rising Star Award from the American Public Health Association’s Chiropractic Health Care Section, and was named Oregon’s 2016 Chiropractor of the Year. In 2008, Dr. Hewitt was elected as a Fellow into the International College of Chiropractors (FICC).

A founding member of both the ACA and the ICA Pediatrics Councils, Dr. Hewitt believes no single practitioner of any healthcare field holds the key to a child’s health and we best serve our patients by working together to optimize the health and wellbeing of all children.
