Immersive Clinical Experience

Logan has cultivated partnerships with a number of colleges, universities and organizations to offer a superior athletic training experience for our students. From NCAA Division 1 athletics across the Midwest to some of the top health care systems in the U.S. – our students have the opportunity to apply classroom experience within unique integrated settings that provide maximum potential to grow skills and confidence in the field.

  • Students will gain hands-on experience working with an integrated healthcare team to include MD’s, PT’s, DC’s, and NP’s.
  • Focus is on treating the patient with non-surgical options of care that may include PRP, physical therapy, and chiropractic care.

Traditional Collegiate Experiences

  • 28 sports teams cared for by a staff of 9 certified athletic trainers
  • NAIA school providing a quality experience that allows students to gain high levels of hands-on practical experience
  • 18 sports teams cared for by a staff of 17 certified athletic trainers
  • NCAA D-I institution that competes in the SEC providing a quality experience that allows students to gain high levels of hands-on practical experience while working in an integrated healthcare team.
  • 15 sports teams cared for by a staff of 4 certified athletic trainers uniquely housed within the Student Health Services Department.
  • NCAA D-II institution providing a quality experience that allows students to gain high levels of hands-on practical experience while working in an integrated healthcare team.

Industrial/Occupational Experiences

  • Nationwide leader in applying sports medicine techniques for 25+ years in the workplace by providing onsite injury prevention. ergonomics, wellness management, injury management, and telehealth services.
  • Located in 18+ states and in a wide variety of industries that include but not limited to automotive manufacturing, transportation, airline industry, aerospace manufacturing, tool manufacturing, storage systems, warehouses, and union work forces.
  • Provides 8-13 week injury prevention specialist fellowships.
  • In this experience, you will learn alongside the onsite Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Teams and will be overseen and mentored by an Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS) leading injury prevention and proactive activities. All IPS are certified athletic trainers (ATC). The IPSF Student will learn from their IPS Mentor to proactively analyze tasks for potential ergonomic risk factors, perform biomechanical assessments, and assist on injury prevention activities. The IPSF Student will learn about proactive safety, job coaching, ergonomic training, and one-on-one engagements with Associates under the supervision of the IPS Mentor.
