Course Summary
Evidence-Informed Assessment and Rehabilitation of Musculoskeletal Disorders is a continuing education course for healthcare providers that frequently manage musculoskeletal conditions. Human movement analysis, or identifying dysfunctional motor patterns, may play an important role in pinpointing the underlying cause of symptoms, rather than simply isolating sources of pain. While establishing clinical assessment from the viewpoint of a movement pattern, the clinician may recognize meaningful impairments that appear unrelated to primary main musculoskeletal complaint, but actually cause or facilitate the associated pain syndrome. In addition, this workshop provides pragmatic rehabilitation protocols for shoulder and spinal disorders.
Dr. Bond is a Professor & Co-Director of Research, Department of Physical Therapy at University of Saint Mary in Kansas. He is currently a candidate for the Graduate Certificate in Medical Human Anatomy (Fall 2021) from the University of Florida as well as a Candidate for Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (Summer 2021). Dr. Bond earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences and his Master of Science in biomechanics from the University of Kansas, before receiving his Doctorate of Philosophy in Rehabilitation Science from The University of Kansas Medical Center
*Full-time DCs get a yearly 5% Risk Management discount from NCMIC for three consecutive policy years for attending a qualified seminar. 8 hours of qualified instruction is required and must be obtained within one year. Seminars of less than 8 hours will require that the DCs contact NCMIC once they have accrued the full 8 hours. Seminar discounts earned up to 30 days after the policy renewal date will apply immediately; those earned 30+ days after the renewal date will apply at the next policy renewal date.
