Message from Logan President Dr. Clay McDonald on Charlottesville

As we prepare to celebrate commencement and welcome new students to our campus next month, I want to take a moment to address the tragic events that transpired in Charlottesville.

I am deeply saddened by the racist and threatening actions as well as the fatalities and injuries of many individuals.

As an institution of higher education, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive learning environment for all. Logan is committed to fostering a place where diversity and inclusion is encouraged and respected. We have no tolerance for acts of violence and hate.

As you keep the University of Virginia community and Charlottesville in your thoughts, join us in upholding our University values: empowering all community members, holding each other accountable and acting with respect, compassion and integrity.
