Disability Services
Students at Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs seeking academic accommodations for specific learning disabilities, medical disabilities, psychological disabilities or attention deficit disorders, are required to contact the Office of Student Services located in Room 147.
Students may make an appointment with the Disability Services Coordinator to discuss documentation requirements as well as the disability services offered by the college. Accommodations are granted on a case-by-case basis. The Disability Services Coordinator determines the appropriate accommodations based on the documentation results and a personal interview with the student. In some cases, consultation with the counseling staff is also required.
The initial step in requesting accommodations is to complete the
Disability Notification and Accommodation Request Form.
It is the responsibility of individuals with disabilities to inform the institution of their needs, and to provide documentation of the disability.
Relevant and current documentation is needed to verify the existence of a disability and to determine appropriate accommodations based on the functional impact of the disability related to academic courses, testing methods, program requirements, etc. Please refer to Documentation Guidelines for specific information.
In the case of a temporary disability due to injury or other event, the Office of Student Services will work with the student for referrals on campus resources and services. Accommodations and services will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Students who are struggling academically and have tried other resources on campus, such as tutoring and meeting with the professor and yet are still struggling, should make an appointment with the counselor in Student Services for a confidential consultation.
