Faculty Council

Dr. Brian J. Snyder, B.S., D.C. serves as president of the Logan Faculty Council. His role is to provide assistance to faculty and work with the Logan administration to better serve the students in their quest to become qualified graduates of this institution.

Dr. Brian SnyderThe Logan Faculty Council meets once per month to relay any current issues and events occurring around the Logan campus that may affect all or part of the Logan faculty. There is an executive committee consisting of the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and member-at-large that provide an agenda for the monthly meetings. There are a number of committee appointments that are selected by this council. Faculty representation occurs at all levels of the institution assisting the Board of Trustees, administration and the students in the governance and success of Logan.

Communication throughout the institution is one of the many services the Faculty Council provides. The Council has representatives from our Board of Trustees, Logan Alumni Association and occasionally members of our administration report to us on the important issues that may directly or indirectly involve faculty members. The Council brings guest speakers to meetings from outside of the institution to provide information about a variety of different topics. Minutes are taken at each meeting so any faculty not able to be present will still have access to the information provided at each meeting.

In addition to monthly meetings, we also provide numerous faculty development workshops and presentations on a regular basis. These presentations are often made available in different formats allowing faculty to view these programs at any time.

Faculty are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings, to ask questions and to provide additional information on all subjects relevant to the institution.

The Faculty Council serves the institution through its mission of providing quality education and research support utilizing the standards established by the university.
