Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs Reaches Goal of $10,000 for Arthritis Foundation
July 2, 2012
Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs hosted the 2012 Arthritis Walk on Logan’s campus in May and recently reached its goal of raising $10,000 for the Arthritis Foundation. The annual nationwide event raises funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability.
“Through the fundraising efforts of our students, faculty and alumni, we have reached our goal of $10,000,” Christina Lynch, Student Doctors’ Council President, said.
Students raised money through penny wars, a benefit dinner at a local restaurant, T-shirt and popcorn sales, and encouragement through Logan faculty members. There were 10 total student teams who participated in the walk and fundraising for the Arthritis Foundation.
“With chiropractic in the forefront of arthritis treatment, we are excited to be a huge contributor,” Lynch said.
