Logan’s College of Chiropractic/University Programs' Derby Night
October 30, 2012
On Saturday, November 10, Logan is hosting its annual black tie-optional Benefactors’ Dinner gala in the William D. Purser, DC, Center lobby. Benefactors are alumni and friends who contribute $1,000 or more annually to Logan. Each year, the college hosts a Benefactors’ Dinner and event to say thank-you to these special Logan donors.
This year’s theme is Logan’s Derby Night, featuring Kentucky Derby-style horse races in the Purser Center lobby, betting (with play money), cocktails and dinner, prizes for the “Race for the Roses” horses and prizes for the benefactors who have the most “money” at the end of the races.
Derby “horses,” created by Joe Munsigner of Logan’s Facilities Department and decorated by students from Logan trimester classes and clubs, are currently on display in the Logan Derby Night Paddock (also known as the administration building lobby). You can view the horses’ photos and biographical sketches on Logan’s website. As part of Logan’s People’s Choice Awards, students, faculty and staff can vote for their favorite horse. First prize is a free lunch, second prize is a free breakfast and third prize is cookies and milk for the trimester/ASP/club/organization.
The final Run for the Roses Race will take place at the Benefactors’ Dinner on Saturday, November 10. For more information, please contact Vice President of Institutional Advancement Patricia Jones.
