Logan Alumnus Dr. Jack Struck Named 2011 Chiropractor of the Year by the Illinois Chiropractic Society
Dr. George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, president of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs, is pleased to announce that Dr. Jack Struck, Logan class of January 1957, of DuQuoin, Ill., has been honored as the “2011 Chiropractor of the Year” by the Illinois Chiropractic Society. The award is given for demonstrated professionalism and community service. It was presented at ICS’s annual business meeting on Saturday October 1, 2011 in Lisle, Ill.
Dr. Struck has been a practicing doctor of chiropractic for 54 years. He has been active with the Logan College of Chiropractic group of 50+-year plus graduates who meet annually on campus and serve as mentors to new graduates.
Dr. Struck is a Korean War military veteran. Over the course of his career, he was appointed to the DuQuoin Industrial Commission, served as economic director and received an “Outstanding Citizen Award.” He was mayor of DuQuoin for nine years in the late 1960s and early 1970s. As a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society, he served as the Southern District President and as a member of the ICS Board of Directors.
