Fontbonne University Enters Agreement with Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs
January 12, 2013
Fontbonne University announces a new articulation agreement in partnership with Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs. The 3+3 program allows qualified students to earn both a Bachelor of Science degree from Fontbonne and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan in just six years, one year less than a traditional Doctor of Chiropractic degree program.
“This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing this field of study,” said Michelle Palumbo, director of admission at Fontbonne. “Our students will enjoy the strong educational foundation and personalized attention that we provide at Fontbonne and then take advantage of the specialized knowledge and skills that Logan has to offer. It’s a very seamless program between two established institutions.”
Students enrolled in the program will complete their first three years of undergraduate study (at least 90 semester hours of specific coursework including physics, chemistry and biology) at Fontbonne, then transfer to Logan to begin the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program. By the end of their first year in the Doctor of Chiropractic program, these students earn the basic science credit hours needed to complete their bachelor’s degree from Fontbonne as well as satisfy their basic science requirements during the first year of graduate studies at Logan leading to the Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
“We’re excited to enter into a 3+3 agreement with Fontbonne University,” said Dr. Boyd A. Bradshaw, Logan’s vice president of enrollment management. “This is a ‘win-win’ situation for motivated Fontbonne students who want to earn their undergraduate degree from Fontbonne while they are already pursuing their Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic.”
The program is currently accepting applications. Visit www.fontbonne.edu/chiropractic.
