Logan Dedicates Educational WingLogan Dedicates New Educational Wing on Campus

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs officially dedicated a new 13,000 square-foot educational wing on its suburban Chesterfield, Mo. campus at a special ribbon-cutting event held June 21 during the school’s annual homecoming. The $4.9 million capital improvement project, which required 13 months from design to construction completion, included renovation of the Montgomery Health Center and the Performance Health BIOFREEZE® Sports & Rehabilitation Center as well as the creation of the Foot Levelers, Inc. Clinic and the Standard Process, Inc. Courtyard. Over the past five years, Logan has invested nearly $40 millions dollars toward modernization of its educational programs and 112-acre campus, located about 30 minutes west of downtown St. Louis.

honored 16 Doctor of Chiropractic students for making the Dean’s List in consecutive trimesters at a June 25, 2012, with an awards presentation on the Logan campus. Chiropractic Business PreparationLogan Tri 7 Students Receive Business Cards in Special Ceremony

When Logan students reach Trimester 7 and have successfully completed their comprehensive and clinical boards, they become eligible to enter their clinical phase, treating members of the student body and family members in the Logan Student Health Center. To mark this significant educational milestone, new Trimester 7 students attended a special June 12 ceremony in the William D. Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus, where they formally received their Logan clinic business cards. Each of the 46 Trimester 7 Logan students were recognized individually as they begin their educational experiences as Logan interns.

Dr. George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, president of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs, welcomed the Logan community and special visitors to the college’s annual memorial service for families of anatomic donations.  This special observance was held Wednesday, May 30, in the outdoor pavilion on the Logan campus. All Trimester 1, Trimester 2 and Trimester 3 students attended to show their appreciation to the individuals and families who have so generously given of themselves to further the education of Logan students.

 

Logan Alumnus Dr. Steven Conway Elected At-Large Director by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE)

Steven R. Conway, D.C., J.D., of Athens, Wisconsin, was elected as an at-large director for a two-year term by the board of directors of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) at its annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas, on May 4. Dr. Conway is an August 1983 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs and received his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 1996. He currently practices law and is a partner with the DeWitt Ross and Stevens Law firm. Dr. Conway is a national spokesperson for the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and serves as the ACA’s chairman of the ACA Audit Defense Task Force, which is helping chiropractors from across the nation with Medicare audit defense. Dr. Conway served on the Wisconsin Chiropractic Examining Board from 2002-2011 and was honored by the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association as Chiropractor of the Year in 1992. He has been a frequent participant in NBCE’s Parts III and IV test committees and aided in developing the NBCE’s essay format Ethics and Boundaries Examination. Headquartered in Greeley, Colo., the NBCE is the international testing organization for the chiropractic profession. Established in 1963, the NBCE develops, administers and scores legally defensible, standardized written and practical examinations for candidates seeking chiropractic licensure throughout the United States and in many foreign countries.
 

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs Welcomes More Than 100 Students to its Chesterfield (Mo.) Campus

Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs welcomed more than 100 new students to the school’s suburban St. Louis (Chesterfield) campus for May 15 orientation. They begin undergraduate, graduate and professional classes this week as part of the summer 2012 trimester. Logan students begin their educational programs in January, May or September. Read More >
